Iteration
1. The act or an instance of iterating; repetition.
2. Mathematics
A computational procedure in which a cycle of operations is repeated, often to approximate the desired result more closely.
3. Computer Science
a. The process of repeating a set of instructions a specified number of times or until a specific result is achieved.
b. One cycle of a set of instructions to be repeated: After ten iterations, the program exited the loop.
** It is nothing against all the people who use it, I just hear it alot and frankily I just don't like the way it sounds.

The second definition under Computer Science is totally used in the computer programming/coding course I took last year.

Seems like a random word to hear frequently. I mean, I hear it and use it occasionally, but it seems wierd to be used that often!
ReplyDeleteI know, right! I don't think I ever really heard this word until I started working in a law office....there are MANY words I never heard often until I worked in a law office!!
