Be Back Next Week!

So Terry & I are taking some time off to just chill! We are not going anywhere or doing anything particular...however we decided that we both needed to take some time off work! We need to rest, de-stress and just spend some good quality time together!!!

I honestly do not recall when the two of us have spent more than a few days straight with each other! So I am sure these next 5 days will be most enjoyable (if we don't get 100% annoyed with each other first!!) :-) Truly, this will be nice to just relax and have no commitments. We can do or not do whatever we want!!! So, as a nice start to our time off....we are going to have Mexican and margaritas tonight! What a GREAT way to start!!

So blogging will be limited, especially as our Internet is down and the people won't be around till Monday to fix it! So I will talk to you all when I get back (or get internet)!

PLUG FOR A FRIEND: Our friends band Sledge (and CrazzyEddie) is playing at Howards in BG this Saturday! We will be there cheering them on! They are an awesome hard rock band!!! If you like rock - that is where to be!!!

I Love....

I am totally ordering these jellies today from Forever 21! YAY!!! They also have clear (Click here) but I think I am going with the red…..I don’t know – I want BOTH!!! These look WAY cute and I am super excited to get some jellies on my feet again!

P.S. Can I just say how happy I am that flat shoes are in. I think I may have said something about this already, but as someone who is 5’11” and is extremely clumsy I am SO very happy that flats are popular!!!

"Police find 1,500 girls’ shoes and one big fetish

WAUKESHA, Wis. - Police seized more than 1,500 pairs of girls’ shoes from the home and storage unit of a man arrested for breaking into a high school, police said Tuesday.

“He liked to smell them,” said Lt. William H. Graham.

Police said the recovered shoes may be related to the burglaries of three Waukesha public high schools and a middle school over the past two years.

The 27-year-old Kenosha man, who was not identified because had yet to be formally charged, worked for a cable company and collected keys to the schools as he responded to calls, Graham said. The same man was convicted in 2005 for stealing shoes from Kenosha Tremper High School.

Police arrested him after a security video showed him entering North High School on May 20 and leaving with some items, authorities said.

Officers searched the man’s home and a rented storage unit on Thursday, recovering the shoes along with school yearbooks, keys, a bolt cutter and other items.

The man was expected to be charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court, Capt. Mike Babe said."

This is 100% gross!!! I don't even know what else to say.

A Soundtrack to my Life

So this weekend one of our friends was over and gave us an interesting, musical proposal. He said he would make a mixed CD for each of us but he asked for 14-16 songs that basically were songs that we thought best represented who we are and were we have come from. Songs that if we were to play the CD to someone we didn't know, may give them an idea of who we are and a little bit about our life.

Now, I have been pondering this for 2 days now and I only have come up with one, MAYBE two songs. The definite is our first dance song - That's How Strong my Love Is by Otis Redding (and maybe In My Life, but sung by Ozzy instead of the Beatles)! THAT IS IT!! I have narrowed down some artists but picking songs that they sing that represent me and my life....that is a hard task! I always have trouble with stuff like this because I take it too seriously. HA! I want to make sure I have the best list/s and don't want to leave stuff out. But even though it will drive me crazy coming up with this list....I will enjoy every moment!!!!

So because I don't want to be the only one to take this on, I am extending this task to all of you...can you come up with a soundtrack for you/your life? If so, what would the songs be?

I am going to try to have a final list by the end of next week. (sorry for taking so long but our internet is down at home which means not as much online research)

So take some time to think about this and let us all know what YOUR soundtrack would be!!! Remember it isn't just about the songs....but also the order!!!

I Love....

I am a huge fan of these Twizzlers Rainbow Twists! YUM!

The flavors are strawberry, orange, lemonade, watermelon, blue raspberry, and grape! I love them all...well I like grape (but I typically hate anything grape flavored)!!!

I 100% recommend these delicious candies!

We Spent your Salary on this Ad.

I found this in the job section of the Toledo Blade this weekend:

CATERER/BANQUET HALL MANAGER.

"The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Toledo is accepting proposals to manage their newly renovated, 300 seat, banquet facility, for all events. Manager will be responsible for maintaining a master schedule, advertising, innovative marketing, and showing the hall for upcoming events. The on-site kitchen can be used for prep/warming but not for cooking. Don't miss this opportunity! This is not a paid position."

.......
HAHAHA This job sounds perfect! An unpaid manager of a banquet hall! I am sending my resume today!

P.S. If you know of anyone/ anyplace who is hiring and paying an event person, please let me know!

A Little Freaky; Alot Cool!

How freak'n cool are these?!?!!? They are wax replicas from Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas. Wax replicas of people freak me out alittle b/c of just how realistic they look! However, it is so awesome that an artist can replicate these individuals so dead on!

For a couple more pictures up close Click here.

I Love This...(Rock Edition)

I LOVE Ozzy's new single, I Don't Wanna Stop!!! This song kicks ASS!! It is so good to see Ozzy and his band Rock'n out!!!

(This is exactly why I love Rock and Metal music!!!)

P.S. Sorry, I am all about YouTube today!!

LOL Friday!!!

Here is a clip from Ellen DeGeneres stand up comedy routine "The Beginning". This is still one of the best comedy DVD's I have ever seen!!! She is SO hilarious! This clip makes me laugh every time!

Enjoy & Happy Friday! :-D

A Time Phenomenon!

This morning I experienced what I like to call a time phenomenon. It is where for a strange reason the time in my day alters for unknown reasons. I am sure we have all experienced this before like when we are at work and you think 2 hours goes by and it is only 20 minutes or vice versa. Or you wake up in the morning early, follow your same morning routine and are still rushing around because you are running late. Or (like me this morning) you wake up late, dilly dally around the house taking your time, make stops on your way to work, and still get to work 15 minutes early!!!!

Here is my example: (Please note: At NO point was I rushing, infact I was like eeyore just taking my time and not really caring about getting anywhere fast!)

- 6:45 a.m. wake up (normally I wake up at 6:30 or 6:15 if I need to shower)
No need to take a shower, as I normally shower in the evening (just wanted to throw that out there!)
- 6:50 a.m. look at my self in the mirror for 5 minutes (actually I think I fell back a sleep standing up b/c I really don’t know what I did for that time)
- 6:55 a.m. Contacts, brush teeth, spray some hair spray in my hair (it looked fine how it was), deodorant, perfume, ect..
-7:02 a.m. Talk & pet the cats in the hall
-7:05 a.m. Get dressed
-7:08 a.m. Go downstairs and pack lunch
-7:12 a.m. Realize I am WAY ahead of schedule and play with the cats some more
-7:16 a.m. Finally decide to leave and kill time by getting coffee
-7:20 a.m. No line at Starbucks…get coffee right away
-7:24 a.m. On the road to work
-7:40 a.m. Realize I am REALLY earlier for work so I get a bagel (no line again)
-7:45 a.m. Walk into work an entire 15 minutes earlier!!!
-7:45-8 a.m. Sit at my desk pondering what just happened

Now, as I said before…this is really a strange phenomenon to me. I usually get up an entire 15 minutes earlier and rush around to leave by 7:35 a.m., don’t make any stops, and typically arrive at work either right on time or 5 minutes late (if I need coffee)!!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!?!?! I hope the rest of the day doesn't go this slow!

Photoshop....Creating a Positive Body Image for Everyone

So I think we all saw this picture a few months ago of Katie Couric after some photoshop. It is "amazing" what we can do with a picture today.

Well click here (from popsugar) to see a women change dramatically in size and apperance b/c of photo shop. It is crazy to see how much they can change a person's apperance and sad to think that so many people strive to have a body that is based on a false idea and deception.

P.S. sorry for the Beyonce song....it came with the clip. I suggest muting it ;-)

Yummy Picture of the Day!

I need NO reason to post a picture of the incredibly handsome and amazingly talented Johnny Depp. However, this is from the Disney movie premiere of the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End that happened this past weekend. Seriously....he is so yummy!

And remember that the movie comes out THIS WEEKEND!!! YAY!

Will anyone be fighting the crowds to see this movie? I am thinking I may just have too! :-)

CONGRATS!

I wanted to wish my friends Juan and Kiri a very special CONGRATULATIONS! The two got engaged this weekend :-) YAY!!!!!!!!

We are SO happy for the two of you!!!

LOL Friday!!!

I am sharing one of my favorite comedy routines! It is done by Dan St. Paul and was performed on the Bob and Tom Show. (That is why there is laughing in the background)

The routine is The First Baseball Game as announced by “Harry Carrey”. It is seriously HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! Unfortunately you only get a couple minute clip of it as you have to buy the CD or download it on your computer from the internet. So I apologize….however this clip is still very funny and I suggest taking a listen!

Click Here for video! (I don’t really watch the video…it distracts me. I just like listening to it!)

So for the past couple days I have been enjoying a shot or two of this delicious Goji Juice that my mom gave me. My mom has been using it for some time and noticed a difference in how she felt. So, I decided to give it a try!

The Goji Berry is a berry that grows on the plant Lycium Barbarum, which is native to certain remote regions of China, Tibet, and Mongolia. Goji Berries have played a central role in Chinese medicine for thousand's of years.

Scientist have found the Goji Berry to be one of the most nutritionally dense fruits on earth. Here are the main nutrients found in the Goji Berry that makes it such a potent wellness agent.
1. Goji Berries contain 4 special polysaccharides which fortify your immune system and are responsible for controlling your body's most important defense systems.
2. Goji Berries contain 19 amino acids--the building blocks of protein--including all eight essential for life!
3. Goji berries are a better source of Vitamin C than oranges!
4. Goji Berries contain complete spectrum of antioxidant carotenoids, including beta-carotene (Goji is a a better source of beta-carotene than carrots!) and zeaxanthin (supports the eyes). Goji berries are the best source of carotenoids of known foods.
5. Goji berries also include:B-complex Vitamins, Vitamin E, Essential fatty acids, & Betaine

SO…………..The benefits of Goji Juice are many, feedback from Goji Juice drinkers has shown that it may help assist with;

Dissipation of aching and discomfort in muscles and joints
Improvement in vision
Increased flexibility
Improved quality of sleep
Sharper memory and a more focused train of thought
Heightened energy levels
Quicker recovery from exercise and physical activity

So what the heck…I am giving it a try. I will let you know after a month how I feel, but only 3 days into it I have to say I have noticed a couple things that have started to improve! But I can’t tell you – TMI!

(By the way….there were 3 misspellings on this website – so I don’t know if ordering the product from them is good! My mom gets hers from her connections! Haha)

Movie Review!

Spiderman 3

This weekend T & I went and saw the first of our MANY summer movies! As we all know….there is almost an overwhelmingly amount of new movies out this summer (almost)!

May 4 – Spiderman 3
May 18 – Shrek 3
May 25 – Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
June 15 – Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer
June 22 – Evan Almighty
July 4 – Transformers
July 13 – Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
July 27 – The Simpson Movie
(To name a few)

So this weekend we went and saw Spider-man 3. I think it was a good way to kick off the summer movies….but I defiantly don’t think this will be the best of all the movies out this summer. I am giving it a B.

It was good, the effects were nice and I just generally love almost all comic book movies. However, it did just seem like they did the 3rd one just to do it and it didn’t seem to have the passion like the first one did. Also, I think they were trying to resolve the story line and "tie up" a lot of loose ends that it may have been too packed with new stuff. I wanted more in the movie. I do think Topher Grace & Thomas Haden Church were awesome and THEY really made the movie. I liked their characters and wanted to see more of them!

Overall, it was entertaining and I will own it to complete our collection….but I didn’t leave talking about how great it was. It was just a nice, entertaining movie to see on a Sunday afternoon with my husband. We left entertained and satisfied.

I do suggest seeing it though, especially if you watched and liked the other Spider-man movies.

Next on our list….Pirates!!!!

See Ya!!!!!

So today begins the first official week of sanity in the town where I live. YAY!!!

This weekend all the college students that live in the dorms (and a large chunk from off-campus) had to hit the road because the academic year is officially over!!!! I am so super excited! Even Sunday when T & I were out we noticed a huge difference in the town. Not as many annoying students walking the streets, driving their cars, taking up space in our town. It is excellent!

I am typically not a summer person (my least favorite of all the seasons) however...this is the ONE thing about summer I love - no more students! WHOOPEE!!!!

Please note: This does not include my sister.

CONGRATS!

I would like to say a very BIG CONGRATULATIONS to first my sister who just completed her first year of college! YAY!!! And she completed her freshman year with wonderful grades! Good job K......we are all SO proud of you!!!!!!!

Also, to our friend Juan who will be graduating with a nursing degree this Friday! We are also so VERY proud of you and I can't wait to see you get that diploma this Friday!!! :-) You have worked so hard and I am so happy to see all your hard work pay off!

Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!

Kids Say the Cutest Things....

So last night I met up with my two good friends (the J's) for our usual gossip, chatting, dinner evening we do every few months! As always we go to someone's house and order food from our favorite place (Mr. Spots) and then we proceeded to catch up on each others lives! It is ALWAYS a great evening!!!

Last night my friend's son Brady joined in the evening!! I believe he will be 4 this May (J. I hope that is correct) and he is just a BUNDLE of energy and fun!!! This is the age I start loving kids! I mean, they are great before and I love holding and being around other people's babies....but honestly, what do babies or toddlers do - nothing! I like when they can talk, laugh, make jokes and you can have fun with them! So anyways, Brady was ON last night! He was so funny. We played "sitting on the couch" indoor version of baseball, played with toys and laughed! By 10:30 I was exahausted!

As we were leaving Brady told us we could come back again.

And then my friend emailed us afterwards and told us what Brady said to her as we were leaving the driveway:

"I'm gonna really miss them girls."

And then apparently he wouldn't put the toys away either. He told his dad that we are coming back tomorrow.

HAHAHA!!! I love it!

What a great evening with GREAT friends full of laughter and fun!!!

Thanks ladies....I really needed that ;-)

There are no words.....

Seriously, there are NO WORDS to describe just how good Heroes is! I thought last night was SO awesome and I can't wait to see what happens with the next 3 episodes! T & I have so many different ideas & questions about the show that it just creates even more excitement!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!
