It Is All About Support

So incase you didn’t know I have a weight loss blog that I would LOVE for people to visit when you have a chance! Weight issues have been something I have dealt with all my life and I am really taking positive steps to make a change in my life. (I have lost 40 pounds since August) I have taken a few weeks away from the blog and diet, but really am coming back full force and any support for us bloggers losing weight is a great help! Plus any tips and suggestions would be most appreciated!

Now, speaking of support what brand or style bra do you like to wear when working out? Do you wear a regular bra or a sports bra? I have not owned a sports bra since 1998. I have a love/hate relationship with them, but think maybe it is because I just haven’t found a brand that fits right and that I find comfortable. What I mean by this is I want my girls to stay in place but don’t want them to feel squished and I want a bra that breathes so I don’t have sweat all over me.

Suggestions?!

  1. Congrats on the weight loss!

I am interested to hear what people have to say here...I'm two sizes bigger up-top due to nursing and my normal bras are uncomfortable with any sort of 'jiggling'. LOL. I need to start exercising and have been wondering what to do about a sports bra. I hate how they squish too....and in my situation, I would think that would make milk go everywhere.

  2. Dude, I cannot work out without a sports bra. Drives me nuts! I wear the basic sports bra type that you can find anywhere (like Target). However, my breasteses are relatively smallish I guess, sorta, so I don't really have a problem with them being squished. The bras I have have mesh stuff on the sides... although I do sweat a LOT, so being all sweaty is something that would happen to me regardless.

OK, that was sorta personal. ;)Hope it helps though!

  3. I LOVE sports bras and wish I could wear them instead of regular bras. I usually wear two when working out. A looser one underneath and a tighter one over. I have a formula.

I think sports bras are so much more comfortable than regular bras, the straps don't fall down, the underwires don't dig into you, no back buldge. I even sleep in them when I am at someone else's house as I would NEVER be seen without a bra. They are the BEST.

  4. Full disclosure? My breasteses (good word, Sarah) are on the larger side and I have a hard time finding a sports bra that fits well. When I played softball a few summers ago, I found one (at Wal-mart) that I lived with, but it was still bad. Instead of 'jiggling', I had uniboob bouncing. Not sure it was any better. I also haven't been able to find one that breathes. Sweat was definitely an issue.

So ... I really need to know the answer to this question as well.

  5. Sarah - I love that you used, "breasteses."

I like the regular 'ole Champion brand sports bras. I like it that they're not cotton and they don't get sweaty - they absorb the sweat. (Which sounds gross, but they keep you dry-ish.)

Because I'm still nursing my hoots fluctuate from being BIG or super-tiny, there I wear two SB's (sports bras, how do you like that lingo?) at a time during cardio (i.e. excessive bouncing.)

I'm not too concerned with uniboob when I'm working out.
