Who’s With Me…

I would like to sign some sort of petition or start some sort of coalition requiring that ALL reenactment actors look just like, or as close as possible, to the people that they are portraying. I am tired of watching shows like “I Didn’t Know I was Pregnant” or “Snapped” or any other show that feels the need to reenact a semi-dramatic scene to tell a story and the actors look nothing like the people they are portraying.

I am not talking facial features or a different length hair I am talking about how the actor looks like this…

And when they show the real person she looks like this……

Real person…….

I think you get my point. Please feel free to join my cause.

*Yes I watch I Didn't Know I was Pregnant and Snapped...go ahead Judge me. And maybe my pics are a little exaggerated, but I am always looking for a reason to post pics of Johnny Depp on my blog.

  1. Good call, WK -- that is really distracting. Although I will take any excuse to look at Johnny Depp. :)

  2. I love love love the bad wigs they use from time to time.

    (I watch those shows too.)

  3. Signed! I agree. I was watching "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" and was thinking the same thing! That show is whacked out anyway, but then you add to it the horrible portrayal of the people, it's just so bad it's good, know what I mean? How can you be pregnant and NOT KNOW! I'd love to see photos of said "pregnant women" while they were in their "pregnant but didn't know it" state. You notice that's never included in their story.

  4. Rarely do I actually laugh OUT LOUD at my desk at work, but that first photo comparison made me LOL, literally.

I've said it before... you are one funny gal. :)

    p.s. I watch Snapped & I Didn't Know I was Pregnant too. It's all good.

  5. WHAT IS THAT PHOTO OF AMY WINEHOUSE?!!? My goodness, that's frightening.

I love Joel McHale from The Soup's take on "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant"... apparently there was an episode where a woman gave birth on a toilet? And he told women to make sure that they check their poop for children! I roared!

    Tell me where to sign.

  6. I just watched "I Didn't Know I was Pregnant" and thought the EXACT same thing. While I'm sure that lady WISHES she looked like that actress, its just a no go.

that said, it will make me feel tremendously better if I'm ever portrayed on such a show.... I hope they "pretend" I'm prettier than I am. Because if Alyson Hannigan shows up to impersonate me, I'll be pissed. :)

  7. ha ha that is funny. I was just watching. I am on the
I didn't know I was pregnant train here.
