Quick Movie Reviews

I have seen a few new(er) movies the last couple weeks. Here are my quick movie reviews.

Star Trek – AWESOME! Seriously. MUST. See. This. Movie.
Star Trek fan or not, this is entertaining. Moves very fast, lots of action, great effects, and funny. SEE IT – at a theater near you.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button – Long. Too long. After nearly 3 hours I was like, “is that it?!” Too much hype. Favorite thing about the movie, the house he grew up in. That house was gorgeous, I LOVED it.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans – Good movie, better than I expected. If you have seen the others, this fits well into those ones.

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People – Funny & sarcastic but I am not sure that I would watch it again, at least not right away. It was entertaining at the time, and that was enough for me. Megan Fox was only mildly annoying, while Kirsten Dunst is always annoying to me.

Taken – Liam Neeson kicks major ASS in this movie. I love him. I love his voice. Good movie. Got chills a few times watching this. Made me a little sick to my stomach thinking of how real this is with women.

  1. I am totally feeling you on these! We saw Star Trek last weekend and I really liked it. It's a good summer action-y kind of movie. And I'll admit that I know a lot about Star Trek, which is embarrassing, but I think this new one will appeal more to people who don't really care about the Star Trek part.

and TAKEN! We saw it in theaters when it came out. What a guilty pleasure. It's fun to watch a guy kick the asses of total jerks.

  3. Star Trek - I know you loved it because of Zachary Quinto. (I want to see it, too.)

Benjamin Button - Seriously, wasn't it FAR TOO LONG? SHOOT ME.

I really, really want to see Taken. I love Liam Neeson.

  4. YES! I love your reviews because I know we share similar tastes.

I will definitely see Star Trek now and Underworld.

I laughed out loud about Megan Fox. Let's hope she doesn't muck up Transformers too much :)
