Movie Review – Inception

Here, is my review of Inception. GO SEE IT.

Don’t ask any questions. Don’t over think it. Don’t wait for it to come out on DVD. Just go see it and thank me later for pushing you to see it.

Seriously, I was not sure about this movie at all. I wanted to see it because it looked interesting and I like Christopher Nolan but honestly, I thought it would be a huge disappointment. But it wasn’t. I thought it wouldn’t make sense, but it did (though you really DO have to pay attention and be open to the story line.)

As simply as I can explain it…it was ORIGINAL. It was not a sequel to something, not based on a book or comic book, it was not a retelling of something else. It was simply an original movie that made you think. It may not be for everyone, but I think everyone can appreciate what this movie does and how entertaining it truly is.

I don’t want to build it up anymore so I am going to stop right here in the hopes that I have said enough to convince you to go see it.

RATING: Jumbo Popcorn w/ salt and extra butter, Jumbo Mountain Dew, your favorite candy, and share pretzel bites with cheese.

T & I have our movie rating scale. The H-Plus Rating Scale.

If you HAVE seen it, please let me know your thoughts in the comments. However, try not to give the end away just incase people do read the comments section.

  2. Oh MAN! You and Amber both have blog posts about this movie today! I need to see it! Husband is going out of town for a couple days, when he comes back, we're for sure going to see it! We watched a special about it last night on TV and were very intrigued. Plus I heart Leo.

  3. It rocked. One of the best movies I've seen in forever.

I went into it knowing I was going to avoid overthinking or analyzing. I just had to enjoy it and be open to the storyline. I think that made it work for me. I think if you question it, it'll lose the appeal.

Matt Finkhousen and I had quite the debate about it Monday. I had to walk away because I disagreed with him so strongly.

Billy read a very interesting observation online that kinda answers the question left at the end.

Speaking of the ending, it was the best since The Village.

  4. Oh Amber, I didn’t know you wrote something! I will be sharing my thoughts later tonight on your blog! And what did Matt say? Did he not like it?!

I am certain that if you over think this movie and the story line you will NOT like. I want to see it again because it IS a lot to take in and there were a couple parts I wanted to watch over to make sure I understood clearly or if something was missing. But it is a good movie that is truly unique, entertaining, and thought provoking. Just don’t think into it!!

I was actually hesitant to even write anything because I HATE when people hype up a movie and then it isn’t what I thought. Infact, I refuse…REFUSE…to watch Avatar because of all the hype. I will watch it sometime when I feel the hype has gone away but will not even acknowledge the movie. But the reason I wrote something was because if you were like me you may have been questioning seeing this movie in the first place and I think this really is a great movie. Of course I loved Memento that he did too, and not everyone liked that.

  6. Awesome movie, first time we went to a theater in forever and it was way worth it.

Definitely not a movie for people who aren't ready to think and get easily lost. It kept my brain working for quite awhile.

I think this is the first time that I have wanted to go see a movie in a theater again, most I can wait.

  7. I just scrolled down immediately to comment so I didn't read the spoiler. I cannot wait to see this flick. LOVE LEO, and not the Titanic, BEACH Leo, Gangs of NY Leo, Departed DiCaprio.
