HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
(I just HAD to do this!!!)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! :-D
Take this little Halloween Quiz I found on MSN to see how well you know this fun holiday!!!
I got 5 out of 10, I guess not that bad!!
Don't Quit My Day Job!
Some things to remember:
1) the cake was not covered. The box was open on top because of the size of the cake. I didn't like that too much!
2) It may be small but it was damn heavy!
3) It had two smaller boxes with fondant I had to carry and then assemble at the club where the dinner was being held
4) It was just me driving alone with this cake!
So the first problem was finding a place to put this cake where it wouldn't fall or move. I put it on the floor of my car and tried to jam things around the box to prevent it from moving. Then I was afraid it would melt so I drove 25 minutes with my air conditioning on - brrrr!! Then I had to drive so super slow around turns and bumps, it was ridiculous! I finally got the cake to the club and got it set up! But let me tell you - talk about high stress!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! I don't know how bakers do that?!?! Transporting a wedding cake or any large cake for that matter has to be in the category of HIGH STRESS jobs! Kudos to you, cake delivery people because I don't think i could ever do that again!
I LOVE this band and CD!!!!
(Sorry for the bad pic)
This weekend my sister and I got this CD by My Chemical Romance - "The Black Parade"!
This CD is AWESOME!!! It is a mix of everything - alternative/punk/rock/theater - everything! It is so well put together and the lyrics are great!!! And the band is older (the lead singer is almost 30) which means it just isn't a young band with silly highschool problems - but more things we can all associate with! The entire album is great! (Their first album was pretty kick-ass too!!)
My pick for best new CD of the week!!!!!!

Learn to Listen
I have recently gotten into a small discussion about the war (my bad). I said how I PERSONALLY believed this war was stupid and I don't believe we are doing the right thing being over there. This immediatly turned into - how can you not support the troups and this war. UM, excuse me! I NEVER said I didn't support the troups, I said I don't believe in the WAR!!!
So here is the thing people who fall into this judgemental, not actually listening to what I am saying category. A person can not believe in the war but still support the troops! Yes, this is 100% possible. Don't jump down my throat because you were not listening to what I said! I will support the troops for as long as they are over there and even if they are not over there. They are doing a VERY unbelievebly great thing by protecting our country - MY LIFE, YOUR LIFE. I don't think I could express how much support I have for them. But I am still allowed to believe that I don't think they should be over there and that this war should not be happening and has lost it's direction.
People, let us actually learn to listen to those around us before we start yelling back. As we grow closer to the political games it is all about yelling, name calling and back stabbing and is anyone actually listening to those around them or more importantly addressing the concerns of a nation??? Maybe if we actually listened to what people around us had to say then we could begin to fix the problems AND not misinterpret the opinions of those around you.
Building Obstacles NOT bridges?
Bush signed the bill yesterday for the US-Mexico border fencing. We all knew this was coming but it still frustrates me none the same. Click here for article. I just don’t get this, I mean I really don’t get it.
Some Questions/Concerns - 700 out of the 2100 (I think) will be covered by this fence thing. What are you going to do with the rest of the border? Can people just go farther down and get around these? Are they going to have people there to monitor the borders? Do we really think $1.2 billion is best used building a fence? I know they say they could use lighting/video cameras/ect from homeland security – but what is this going to do to help? How tall are these fences, can people cut them? How is this benefiting us? What about the water/ocean – how are you monitoring that? They say that a work type program will be implemented – but I will believe it when I see it AND it actually works! (I could keep going) There are just SO SO SO many questions/concerns I have about logistically putting this into place and how it will be managed.
Personal Opinion: Besides the fact I think this is ABSOLUTELY STUPID and will not work I think it is doing more harm than good. First, this is only going to slow people down, not stop them from crossing the border – if they really want to get here they will continue to try. These “walls” don’t stop anyone. Second, I don’t think this is benefiting/helping our relationship with Mexico. I found this quote and I agree 100% "We are supposed to be neighbors and friends, and instead of building bridges and doors, we're building obstacles." I am concerned about what this could do with our current and future relationship with MX. Third, how is this SOLVING the problem of immigration? Putting up a “fence” is doing nothing to actually help and improve the immigration system. Shouldn’t we be spending our money to help educate those who do want to enter our country to make a better life for themselves and their family?? I am all for getting people in our country who actually WANT to work instead of the lazy SOB’s we currently have who just feed off the unemployment and welfare. Obviously I am not talking about the people who actually NEED these programs but rather the assholes who will milk the program and spend OUR money while popping out kids so they can continue using our money instead of actually trying to become educated or get a job. Bring in the Mexicans who want to work for a living, educate them and work on ways to improve the system is what I am for. And finally, did you know that between 2001 and 2006, almost 2,000 migrants died while trying to sneak into the United States, according to El Colegio de la Frontera Norte. I just wish we could get someone in the White House who actually wants to do good. I know there are politicians who do good, but unfortunately they never make it very far because anymore doing good doesn’t have a pull in the political game. UGH – I need to stop, I am turning into the angry blogger!
Anyway – leave comments or not, I really just needed to vent. If you can help me understand the point then more power to you!
I love Costume Jewelry
I love costume jewelry, to me it is perfect! I have a few really nice pieces of expensive jewelry I wear for special occasions but I don't trust myself to wear them everyday. So I am always buying fun jewelry like above (I just got this at NY & CO yesterday) that looks great, is inexpensive and can be matched to different outfits! I don't pull off the jewelry look as well as some of my co-workers, but it doesn't mean I don't like to try!! It is fun to put different pieces together and i really love that the layered look is in!!
If you have any suggestions on places to shop for this fun jewelry please let me know!! Right now I find most of my stuff at Kohls and NY & Co!!
P.S. - K, you had better give me my big bag of jewelry back after halloween is over - you wench!!! LOL (Diclosure: my sister is dressing as a wench for halloween, I am not calling her a wench to be mean.)

Pumpkin Pick'n Season!
Terry and I recently went to this pumpkin patch near our town and picked us some pumpkins! I LOVE picking pumpkins! I always find mine right away but it takes T. a little more exploration to find his perfect pumpkin. It is such a cute place to go, we get a wagon (like the ones we had as a kid with the red wood sides that come off) and we head out into the field and look for the perfect pumpkins! This year I went with a taller, medium sized pumpkin and I got two baby pumpkins for my cats (hehe, I know but it is just once a year I act like a crazy cat lady). T.’s pumpkin, on the other hand, was enormous!!! It was so huge and almost perfectly round. This thing feels like it weighs like 30 pounds, it is awesome!!!
So this weekend we will be carving our pumpkins, baking the pumpkin seeds, and admiring our Halloween work (until it is destroyed by drunk college kids). I haven’t decided what I want to carve on my pumpkin – I think I am going to get one of those cool kits where I make a spider or something!
Oh – how I love Fall!!!

Could I Have Some Quiet Please?!?!?!
We tried this new restaurant in the area, Bluepoint Fish Club – Click Here. We splurged a little bit on dinner, which was a nice treat. I got Mahi Mahi in a chipotle butter, black beans and rice and broccoli. Terry had a pan seared steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. He also had oysters – YUCK! And we each had a drink. It was really nice, GREAT GREAT food but only a place you go occasionally because of the price (well at least for us b/c T. has to get his oysters b/c there are not a lot of places around here that sell good ones).
Now while we were there, in this fairly nice restaurant. I mean it isn’t suit and tie but it isn’t a local sports bar either. We had a couple tables right behind us who were watching the World Series and yelling and hollering during the dinner. This actually kind of annoyed me – but didn’t ruin our night! I have never seen people at a nicer place like this yelling like it was BW3’s!!!! We paid for a nice meal and along with that meal comes atmosphere, in my opinion. It just really surprised me. I am guessing the women forced the guys to take them out for sweetest day and the guys wanted to make sure they went somewhere that had a TV so they could watch the game – UGH!!! Either men be quiet for the one hour that you are with your significant other and get your head out of the TV or girls let your men stay at home and watch the game if they are going to act like idiots. I don’t get to go out all that often with my husband and just have a nice (quiet) dinner – where we treat ourselves, so even though it didn’t ruin our night it defiantly made me appreciate my wonderful husband even more!! I am glad I actually have a gentleman in my life who is respectful of others and knows how to “act” in public. We like to have fun as well but we also know manors!
Oh well – I do suggest this restaurant as the food was fantastic!

One of my Personal Favs!
So my friend “tiny” who also has a blog had a post about your favorite “over and over” again, favorite standby CD’s. You know the classic CD’s you can listen to all the way through all the time and never get tired of!
Well that got me thinking about one of my all-time favorite musicians (followed only second to Eric Clapton by about .0001 %). I thought I would introduce you to my favorite musician – John Hiatt! I love this guy; he sounds great live and has tons of energy! I just love his music lyrically and it just sounds awesome! John’s sound is rock with some Memphis influences (a little blues a little country). He has been around since the mid 70’s (I believe) and he is still making great music and sounds fabulous!
If you are not familiar with his name, you may recognize some of his songs. His most mainstream would be “Have a Little Faith in Me.” It has been redone many times, played in movies and was even played in commercials after the 9-11 attacks.
His website has a few songs to listen to, but if you are interested check out i-tunes or just google him! I have loved John ever since I can remember thanks to a dad that played great music in our house all the time when growing up (thanks dad!!). Even my 18 year sister loves John!!
For his website click here
Just my recommendation if you are interested in hearing a great musician! I am always interested in hearing of new or older musicians who have great music but may not be that mainstream! Any suggestions are very much welcomed!!!

Kill Them with Kindness
So this led me to think about one of my "work motto's" I have always said – especially in my line of work, you just have to kill them with kindness. I try to fix their problem very fast and be OVERLY kind to them just under the point of appearing fake & obnoxious (even though in my head I am thinking not so nice thoughts). In turn they HAVE to be nice to me and back down with their attitude. It makes me chuckle when it reaches the point they are consoling me or apologizing to me. When that happens I feel that I have done my job REALLY well because I have gotten what I want – a little piece of retribution! I know that can be mean, but so can other people and it is nice to get compensated by the people who feel it is necessary to always act like assholes.
I know we have all heard this before “kill them with kindness”, it is nothing new – it is just very relevant to me on this particular day. FYI - we do have to be prepared that sometimes this can backfire if the person truly is a big asshole – in which case it is ok to be an asshole back if ALL other means of politeness have been trumped. But more times than not you can not fail by being the better, friendlier person!
Side Note: The people today were just frustrated, not assholes. But in what I do I deal with them on a regular basis triggering this blog!
These Look Sweet!
So I was looking through my new Rachael Ray magazine and came across this ad for this new rubermaid food storage prodcut. They are Rubbermaid Collapsible Containers and look absolutley sweet! Click Here for more information about this product! I am going out this weekend to get some so I can see how they work! Basically here are how these food storage containers work and a few of their selling points....
1. The containers (with the lids) collapse to be only 1" high. (see above picture) This saves space and reduces clutter, ecspecially for people like us who have limited space in their apartment for storage.
2. They have different size containers, but each container can adjust to multiple sizes!
3. You can keep all your lids and bases organized together, neatly!
4. This product is dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe!
This product sounds too good to be true! I can't wait to find these at the store and try them! Amazon is selling a 3 piece set for $13. So these may be slightly more expensive then your traditional tupperware - but these look like they would be well worth the purchase!

The Best of the Worst Pick Up Lines!
(In Case you can't read it....Turkey Pick-up Lines: Is that a pop-up timer in your belly or are you just happy to see me?) HAHAHAHAHA I love it!
We all love the bad pick-up lines, because they are SO funny! So I thought it would be fun to share some of our favorites!!
- Did it hurt? When you fell out of heaven?
- Do you have a map? I just keep on getting lost in your eyes.
- If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would put U and I together.
- Is there an airport nearby or is that just my heart taking off?
- You must be a hell of a thief because you stole my heart from across the room.
- Your legs must be tired because you've been running through my mind all night.
- If you were a laser, you'd be set on "stunning".
- Am I dead? Cause this must be heaven!
- Baby, you must be a broom, cause you just swept me off my feet.
- I know milk does a body good, but baby, how much have you been drinking?
- Did you clean your pants with Windex? I can practically see myself in them.
- (And the turkey pick up line above, hahahah)
What are your favorite pick-up lines?
Lets keep it kinda clean folks!
"Run to the Hills" - Auburn Hills!
I got my husband tickets for his birthday to go see Iron Maiden tonight at the Palace of Auburn Hills! Iron Maiden doesn't tour all that often so I know T. is excited to see them! I hope you have a great time tonight T. and hopefully the weather will be better for you when you are driving and not rainy like it is now! This sunday T. is going with my dad to see some Zappa concert. I think it is something with his son playing all Frank Zappa music - I don't know, I don't really like Zappa. But it is so great that my dad and T. have similar music interests and can go to concerts like this together!
What a fun week for you T, two awesome concerts in one week!!! You REALLY deserve it, you have been working very hard lately! Have a great time sweetie!
P.S. - Tenacious D is playing in Detroit in about a month ~ How fun would that be!!!!!!

A Used Wedding Dress and no Where to Go!
A) tried going through David's, has good or bad feedback, and knows exactly what they do or
B) knows of another way to get this dress cleaned and preserved!
Any suggestions would be MOST appreciated!!
Project Runway - A few Thoughts
Side note - as this is not a recap I will not recap on any of the clothes, ecspecially because they really only show you a couple pieces.
1. Michael is ADORABLE!!!! So cute with his braces and just a fun guy! I love him and he is my favorite! How funny when Tim came over for dinner - and how nice of Michael and his family to cook for Tim! L.O.V.E. Michael!!!
2. Uli is SO cute as well!!! She seems SO fun and easy going! What a view from her place, I would never want to leave there!
3. Laura annoys me! I just really don't like her. Her apt = ROCKS!!! That place was awesome, well until the annoying kids showed up - who walks around with turtle poop, I don't care that they are kids, MANORS people!!! And was that old gray haired guy her husband???? WOW!
4. Jeffery - Cute Kid!!! What a doll! I can't even remember what else happened in that scene with him, just that he had a cute kid!
5. Do I think Jeffrey did anything wrong, who the hell knows. They could have very easily made it like "unfortunatly Jeffrey had to go through all this for nothing and he is in the show" - que relieved cry. or it can be "you cheated - see you later" que cry. who the hell knows, they cut the video to create an anticipation to come back - but I really didn't feel that......"dun dun dun" feeling at the end of the show, the drama did nothing for me. But I can't wait to see the collections and who wins! My fingers are crossed for Michael!!
(ok, this was kinda like a recap but a Jenn version of a recap! Someone please do better!)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Good TV with Gene Simmons!!!
I watched this new Gene Simmon’s show – Gene Simmon’s Family Jewels – for the first time this last weekend and I LOVE it! His son, Nick, is hilarious!!! Very sarcastic and quick with the humor! The mom, Playmate Shannon Tweed, is very down to earth just like her daughter Sophie. Well, of course Gene is just arrogant, but funny!! Based on the few episodes I have seen they all seem to REALLY care about each other and support each other – which is refreshing to see in a reality TV show! I don’t know exactly when the show is on as we saw a mini-marathon of it this weekend. The show is on A&E, which kinda surprised me and is probably why I haven’t heard of the show until now!
Here is a link to the website, check it out!!!! I highly recommend it!

Question of the Day?
Question of the Day......Do you want Fries with that?
So I have noticed at the grocery store that we tend to have many many options when it comes to foods. I don't necessarily know if we NEED to have all these different selections of food, but I guess it is nice for some! So it got me thinking of all the options out there for fries, and not just the options from the grocery store but also the many options found in restaraunts! There are SO many different kinds of french fries - Steak, waffle, shoe string, thick cut, curly, seasoned, crinkle, etc.......... out there and it seems that we all have our favorites - even though at the end of the day they are all fried potato bits!
So my favorite types of fries are waffle (from Mr. Spots), crinkle fries and of course fair fries!!!
I like my fries with ketchup, lightly salted and with tons of vinegar! YUM!!
So do you have a favorite type of french fry? Maybe a favorite place to get your fries? What do you like on your fries?
.......................................
Did you know the Incas worshiped the potato, while in England the potato was fed to livestock and prisoners and the Scots even deemed it unholy! Click here for the story of the potato & French Fry!
The Face of G.I. Joe!
This is kinda cool! This guy is from Toledo and won a contest to be the face of G.I. Joe. The full article is here . Apparently they have screened in his face to a computer and will use it on a new G.I. Joe action figure named Redzone! Is this every guys dream??? Who knows, but I do think it is cool - to have your face as the face for a toy! FUN! I wouldn't mind having my own doll/action figure. But only for me, not for the sale to the general public!
Would you want to be the "face" of a toy or product? If so what?
Way to go Toledo Guy!!!
What will you be/do for Halloween?
Cute mom/kid Costum!
I LOVE halloween!!! First it is the start of the holiday season and it is so fun!! I also love the costums, candy, the ghosts, the overall idea of the "dead" walking the streets, decorating - EVERYTHING!!! I know there are people who read this blog who really don't care about halloween but let us look at it this way - it is another reason for us to hangout with friends and drink!!!
We are still deciding what we want to do for Halloween this year. We like to go out and dress up, but living in a college town I tend to feel old and annoyed by the people around us. I want to go out and have fun, but not deal with people acting like idiots - more so than they do normally! I do rather enjoy seeing the creative costums though, that is fun!! If you get past all the sexy nurses, sexy teachers, and giant condom costums there are some really creative ones out there!!
We live in an apartment so we don't get cute trick-or-treaters coming by our place asking for candy :( So that nixes the idea of staying at home and dressing up to pass out candy! We don't even decorate our stoop area because people will destroy it that evening. I carve a pumpkin and every year when I wake up after halloween our pumpkin can usually be found in many pieces in the parking lot. So needless to say staying home isn't all that fun to celebrate the holiday!
Who know what we will do this year, but drinking will be part of the evening in some way. I guess that day we will decide - and as for costums... 80's Metal groupies will be our fall back costums!
Will any of you be doing anything for halloween? Any cute costum ideas? Any cute costums you have seen in the past?

Our Cat Thinks She is the Next Mia Hamm
So we got our cats these little plastic balls with bells in the middle to play with. They were like 6 for $1.50 who could pass that up?!?!
Well Belle loves them, plays with them all the time! She is so cute and it is building up her little kitten paw/eye coordination :-) She is awesome with these little balls and will play with them for hours or until she loses another one under the stove, but I suppose that is why there are 6 in a pack!
The first couple days she was SO cute playing with her new toys but now I am getting a little tired of them. I can block them out for the most part while we watch TV. It is annoying but I can usually stay focused on the show while still hearing the annoying little sound of the bell. But the past few mornings we have also been waken up by the sounds of belle practicing for the Womens Soccer Team! Her path this lovely sunday morning was into our bedroom (play play play) down the hall (play play play) in the kitchen/living room (play play play) back down the hall and back into our bedroom. Repeat for an hour or so! UGH!!!! Now those reading this who have kids I know are rolling their eyes as you should because I know kids wake you up early and have loud toys and such. But for us newlyweds who have no desire to have kids for another 3-4 years and who get one morning a week to sleep in together - this is annoying!
I won't take her toys away (because at least she is not messing with us, the other cat, the pens/my make up or anything else we have laying around the apartment). I will get use to them in time but I highly suggest for those with active pets who don't necessarily sleep when you do - STAY AWAY FROM ROLLING TOYS THAT MAKE NOISE!!!! Just a little tid-bit :-D

Man Laws - They are OK by me!
I am a Coors Light girl but I may consider Miller Lite on occasion because I absolutely love this new marketing of Miller Lite where they talk about Man Laws. I think it is SO funny! I heard a commercial on the way to work and it cracked me up!
Here is a link to the Man Laws website, you have to check it out!!! I like to read the different man laws and the responses to those laws! You can also create your own man laws! Also, the bios are funny and of course there are videos to check out!
Some funny man laws I like are:
* No man attending Ohio State University shall ever discuss Michigan without using the word “suck”. (this one was for you OSU fans)
* No man will present a gift to his girlfriend/wife in anything other than the bag which the store provided.
* While drinking Miller Lite a man must not refer to his friends as “Buds”.
* It is forbidden to name any pet fluffy, snowball, or Mr. Whiskers!
* A man shall never ask for help opening his Miller Lite.
* Body Lotion – yes. Body Lotion with the essence of Rose Blossom – No!
HAHAHA – I love it! Nice job Miller Lite! I will actually stop fast forwarding my DVR to watch your commercials!
I know most of us our women, but come on ladies - this is some funny stuff!!!
Any favorite commercials you like????
No Grammy, Please Don't!
So if you didn’t read my Previous blog posting then please do so before you read this.
........
If you have read my blog on the Gentleman’s Club then here is the newest “event” that will be taking place next Thursday – Hottest grandma contest! WHAT?!?!?!
Besides being a grandma you have to be 45 and over to participate. Now I know that there are many hot people out there over the age of 45 who are “grandmas” but still – come on, I mean seriously COME ON!!! I would never want my grandma doing this – HELL NO! I think this place is running out of ideas. What’s next, hottest Senior Citizen contest? I know they are being “equal opportunity” for both what men want to see/fantasize about and/or the people who may want to get up in front of others in the buff and shake their thang. However, I think there are just some instances where we should keep things in our fantasies and not reality!
I guess everyone has a fantasy and needs a little excitement, but why can’t we keep the grandmas out of it???
A very nice evening!
I had a wonderful evening with my two friends Jen & Jennifer (yes, I can only be associated with people who have the same name as me)! hehehe We went to BW3's for beer, food and gossip. It was a REALLY great time. It is so nice to just hangout with people you care about who you can just be who you are. It is the best! It is also awesome to just vent and get updated on the latest gossip!!!!
Thank you BW3's for your cheap $1 draft beers, your $0.50 boneless wings, your chips with melted cheese, and your high booths so people don't annoy us as much! You are a great gathering place for friends!

These Shoes Aren't Made For Walking!
So I just bought these gorgeous shoes! I LOVE them! I am very clumsy (refer to wipe out blog) and I am 5 '11 so I have a hard time finding cute heals that I can 1. walk in and 2. don't make me feel like godzilla! These shoes were perfect because they are a smaller/thicker heal, have a nice tread on the bottom, and are just cute!
But I have a small problem. I tried these shoes on in two different sizes (actually they were only a half size different). The smaller size was a little tight so I ended up purchasing the half size bigger - which fit really good in the store. So I brought them home and wore them around our apartment and noticed that the shoes were slipping off my heals!! Grrrr - they are slightly too big!
So I don't want to take them back and get the half size smaller because I am afraid they are going to be too tight and hurt with the smaller size. I tried putting folded paper towel in the heal of the shoe but that didn't come close to working. Now I don't know what to do? Do I take them back and forget about them, would some sort of insert thing work - if so what? Any suggestions?? I love these shoes and want to keep them but currently I can not wear my new shoes at all! Why can't they make a shoe that is a 1/4 inch in size :(
CONGRATS!
Today T. won a couple gift certificates to a local resteraunt for guessing the correct question on a morning radio show! YAY!! I am glad I have a super smart husband because I am horrible at the guessing game trivia type stuff - so it balances us out!
So here is the question - I will post the answer on the comments page!!!
What rocker was born to the name Chaim Witz?
think think think....do you know?
Once again, Congrats to my super smart man! You sounded great on the radio this morning! (he held the phone up to the radio so I could hear too, since it wasn't live!!)
Is black the new red?
Is black nail polish in?
I have seen more and more celebrities like Jessica and Lindsay wearing black nail polish lately and even someone came into one of my committee meetings this week with black nail polish on! I don't have a big problem with the black nail polish ecspecially if you have a little harder/rocker/punkish/goth side to you - but IN MY OPINION for everyone else I am just not getting it!?!?! I guess I just don't understand black for your "everyday" wear?
If you are someone who wears black nail polish or likes it, please explain - because I am not getting it! Or maybe it is because I just like clear nail polish because color on my nails makes my fingers look chunky ~ who knows!! Not that big deal to me, just curious!
Anywho -what is your favorite color/brand of nail polish (for toes or fingers) for this fall?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!
I just wanted to wish my young, beautiful and amazing mom a VERY happy and wonderful Birthday today!!! I hope you have a fabulous day - don't work to hard today! Enjoy some wine tonight and a great dinner! K & I miss you bunches and wish we could be there to give you a great big Birthday hug today! But we are thinking of you!!!
Love you BUNCHES!!!! xoxoxoxo

Wipe Out!
I already mentioned that Monday was a crazy and frustrating day and Tuesday I was out sick with a horrible migraine. So here is my Wednesday story for all of you – please feel free to laugh as I did!
FYI: Today is a very wet and rainy day.
So my boss and I went to a lunch meeting and used a company car to drive there. We returned the car and were walking back to our office. We crossed the street and were walking in the grass and yours truly (Grace herself) was tip toeing through the wet grass when I reached a slick spot of mud, slipped and dove side first straight into the mud and wet grass!!!! I had tried to stop myself but it was just so slippery that I couldn’t catch myself and my entire right side of my body including part of my hair and almost my face was covered in mud and wetness! Thank goodness my elbow stopped me and I didn’t go face first into the mud – YUCK! Luckily I had a wind breaker type coat on and dark pants, so the coat got a lot of the damage and the black pants are hiding any mud we couldn’t get off.
During this fall I also broke my umbrella, ruined my purse and embarrassed myself! Oh well, whatcha gonna do?!?! I got up and walked my wet, messy ass through the parking lot of our college and straight into the restrooms. I cleaned my self off fairly well and I am sitting at work on some paper towels like a dog, but all is well. I laughed, got cleaned off and now I am sharing……. but I don’t know if I am interested to see what surprises tomorrow will bring?!?! (I am working an event at a construction site with tons of mud - no bad luck tomorrow please!)
Good Luck!

One of those days!
The nice thing is that I am soon on my way to meet up with my sister to go grocery shopping and spend some QT with her. Then I will enjoy a glass of wine while I make a delicious black bean soup for my hubby and I to enjoy this evening (cooking relaxes me). I will most likely then get into my PJ’s, relax with my cats and husband and watch Heroes and the recorded Desperate Housewives from last night. I will try to unwind and not think of the problems of today and not worry about dealing with those problems once again on Tuesday like I know we will have too. For a few hours tonight I will try to relax by doing things that make me happy and forget work and the BS we all have to deal with.
I hope that for those who had a tough Monday as well, that they find the things that make them happy and can relax. And for those who don’t feel they had that hard of a day I too hope you still find those things that make you happy and relax tonight!
I am off to enjoy my evening – and forget about this day!
