That is awesome you give her that...Good for you!!!

That is awesome you give her that stuff and also the frequency you give her stuff.

I need to be more like that. I hold on to some things thinking "what if we have another kid" and other things for sentimental reasons. But in reality, we can either buy more or can do without it.

The amount of stuff we have accumulated in the last two years is ridiculous. And I think it overwhelms Henry too. Some days he will look around at his toys, like he doesn't know what to play with.

Do you have a lot of organizational stuff in the girls room?! I have seen some pictures, but was curious. I have been wondering if getting more shelves, containers would help with organization for a kid his age or just be more STUFF in the room.Wrestling Kittieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12215343504044584811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31637068.post-91392282073091791842013-06-20T11:47:55.120-07:002013-06-20T11:47:55.120-07:00I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. OUr house is not huge and we...I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. OUr house is not huge and we certainly don't have extra closets and storage rooms to keep random crap.

All of our baby stuff: GONE. GIven away. Goodbye highchair, infant car seat, strollers, jumperoo, etc. In my living room the ONLY kid thing you will see when the girls are in bed is their small wooden table. (Best purchase ever.) Other than that - their stuff is put away in the couch storage thing, in their rooms or outside.

I GIVE EVERYTHING away. (They don't do garage sales here. And, we don't have a garage. So there's that.)

Our nanny gets EVERYTHING. She can choose to keep it or sell it. Literally EVERY weekend I have a bag or box of crap waiting for her on top of our dryer. It's an amazing system.Ky | TwoPretzelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11270132761507189608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31637068.post-37584179772892675672013-06-06T09:56:44.769-07:002013-06-06T09:56:44.769-07:00HAHA! Don't worry M., those clothes will come ...HAHA! Don't worry M., those clothes will come back to you when your little man is in 2T ;-)

I get mad and mean too....so annoying!

I am more OK with having stuff that we need around, but it is seeing stuff we DON'T need that drives me crazy. Why do we need 8 pairs of shoes downstairs?! Why do we need little knick-knacks that my grandma or your mom got us?! Why do we need all this extra clutter!

I am so excited for this garage sale to be here and over with and the stuff gone.

And YES...you are exactly right, better to have money lying around than stuff :-)Wrestling Kittieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12215343504044584811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31637068.post-84832790390704381912013-06-06T09:51:33.852-07:002013-06-06T09:51:33.852-07:00HAHAHA, I can now just envision a tractor or a hor...HAHAHA, I can now just envision a tractor or a horse and buggy pulling up to buy stuff from you :-)

A dumpster! oh boy, that would be awesome!! I would go to town with that thing!!

I agree, it drives me insane too....more so now that we have a child. I can't wait till we have this garage sale and get rid of all this extra crap.

(I love those garage sale sites....I have sold a few things on it.)Wrestling Kittieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12215343504044584811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31637068.post-40305361425255032862013-06-06T06:19:01.113-07:002013-06-06T06:19:01.113-07:00I'm like Sassytimes. So I turn that crazy into productivity and go on a whirlwind dash around the house. It's amazing how much better I feel.

I think your garage sale idea is good. You will feel lighter once it's all gone. Better to have money lying around than stuff :)

(Now I feel bad giving you that HUGE bag of clothes :)Mickey D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/17620616229471362241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31637068.post-66087518005369137462013-06-05T13:39:05.011-07:002013-06-05T13:39:05.011-07:00I despise 'stuff'. Last year I begged my hubby to get me a dumpster for a day. Best day of my life. ;) I had that baby filled in 30 minutes. I'm already ready to get another one! Ha. I LOVE getting rid of stuff. Love it.

Since we live in the boonies, I have never had a garage sale...I do, however, deal with crazies and sell stuff on Craigslist a lot and on FB garage sale pages. Much easier than sitting around all day waiting for a tractor or a horse to ride by to shop. Hahaha. ;)

p.s. My house looks like that a lot. Except for 15 minutes before I know someone is coming over. I'm the queen of picking up 'stuff' and making the house seem clean in 15 minutes flat.
